After visiting campus for the Hokies' first prospect camp of the summer, Hampton (Va.) running back Marshawn Williams had what he needed for a decision.
After mulling it over when he returned home, today he made a decision to commit to Virginia Tech, giving the Hokies their second commitment for the class of 2014. Massaponax (Va.) defensive end Vincent Mihota was VT's first pledge in April.
"I liked the coaching staff, the academics and the campus itself," Williams. "They were all big factors."
Williams follows teammate Deon Newsome, an athlete in the class of 2013 who committed to Virginia Tech last month.
