Virginia Tech's big run on linebackers this week means that suddenly one position is taken care of - or is it? A look at the remaining LB targets.

Linebacker

2022 Season: 10 scholarship, 15 total.
Commits: Tavorian Copeland, Aycen Stevens, Caleb Woodson

2023 Needs: 0-plus. The Hokies have landed three linebackers, but there's some positional flexibility here: Stevens has the size to grow into a DE or tight end, and Woodson is more of a hybrid player. But that lends flexibility to a group that is otherwise filled, and doesn't produce a need. If the staff identifies a player, there's room for him. If not, there's not a need to add a guy just to make up numbers.

Changes: Caleb Woodson committed. Tavorian Copeland and Aycen Stevens offered and committed. Moved Cahari Haynes (not a serious target for new staff, and need doesn't justify changing that) and Raylen Wilson (uncommitted but not seriously considering VT) to periphery. Removed Jamal Anderson (Clemson), Caleb Lavallee (North Carolina), Jaybron Harvey (North Carolina), Andrew and Michael Harris (final three without VT), CJ Adams (South Carolina), Justin Jefferson (Alabama), Kamren Robinson (UVa), Raul Aguirre (final four without VT). Removed Troy Bowles (finalists do not include VT), Grayson Howard (South Carolina), Luke Mergott (Duke) from periphery. Added (new offer) and removed (Pitt) Braylan Lovelace.
