Video Breakdown: Hooker To VT
In an announcement at his school, Dudley (NC) three-star quarterback Hendon Hooker had four hats laid out on a table before him. Hooker had named a top five earlier in the week, but on this day, chose from Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, NC State and North Carolina A&T, his father's alma mater.
In the end, Hooker chose the hat in orange and maroon.
Hooker became the Hokies' third commitment in the 2017 class, joining Rivals250 defensive end Tyjuan Garbutt and three-star safety Devante Smith. And he could be Virginia Tech's only quarterback in the class.
