Virginia Tech's recruiting roll continues. Today, Virginia Beach Bishop Sullivan 2017 wide receiver Tahj Capehart is the newest VT pledge.

The 5-10, 185-pounder announced his decision on ESPN Radio 94.1 with Matthew Hatfield.

As a junior at nearby Ocean Lakes High School - where he played alongside several new Bishop Sullivan teammates after Dolphins coach Chris Scott made the switch - Capehart caught 25 passes for 606 yards (24.2 per reception) and six touchdowns, and added nine carries for 164 yards (18.2 per carry) and another two scores. He also lined up on defense, making 32 total tackles and reeling in an interception.

At Bishop Sullivan, he joins former VT targets Brandon and Breyon Gaddy (Tennessee) and Khalan Laborn (Florida State), along with 2019 Hokies commit Tayvion Land and several VT recruits.

Capehart had more than a dozen offers, but in the end, picked VT over fellow finalists Maryland, Nebraska, Penn State, and West Virginia.

His pledge brings Virginia Tech to 15 total in the 2017 class. He is the highest-ranked player on the Hokies' commitment list, and improves the class ranking to No. 37 overall nationally.
