Virginia Tech has offered Clover (S.C.) 2018 kicker Nicolas Sciba. Here's a quick look at the player.

Virginia Tech is Sciba's first.

Sciba participated in the Hokies' specialists camp, at which time he earned the offer. That has implications on both sides of the recruiting relationship: first, VT knows what to expect after seeing him in person, and second, it indicates that Sciba was both interested enough to make the trip and has seen campus at this early stage. It may be a bit of a surprise VT offered a kicker after landing a punter (Oscar Bradburn) an outstanding preferred walk-on in 2017 (Jordan Stout), but most schools like to carry at least one recruited scholarship kicker at all times.
