Virginia Tech is in the door extremely early here, with an FCS and a Group of Five offer the only others on Mitchell's list. He's a teammate of fellow recent offer recipients Jashaun Corbin and Ladarius Tennison, so there are some potential connections if the Hokies keep up the heat. Getting in the door at this point should help (and indeed could help convince Corbin that the Hokies truly care about players from his area, increasing interest and paying dividends for his teammates down the road), but the Hokies will have to get him on campus at some point in order to have a real shot here.
