Virginia Tech has been showing significant interest in Auguste dating back to the previous coaching regime, so the offer coming through is a culmination of a longer relationship-building process. He has not yet had the opportunity to visit Blacksburg, though, so getting a face-to-face meeting with lead recruiter JC Price will be an important part of taking those next steps. VT is arguably the highest-profile program on his list thus far, so that's a good starting point toward having staying power in his recruitment.
