Virginia Tech has offered Mebane (N.C.) Eastern Alamance 2018 offensive lineman Gabriel Gonzalez. Here's a quick look at the player.

Coastal Carolina, Duke, N.C. State, Wake Forest

Gonzalez plans to narrow his list at the end of the Summer and make a college commitment, not long thereafter, so it's a good thing the Hokies got i the mix when they did. He's a fast-rising prospect (thanks in part to being under the radar as a 245-pounder last year at this time), and while the competition isn't the stiffest, it's likely that he'll be a middle-tier prospect at the worst come National Signing Day. He's being patient with additional college visits, but should check out Blacksburg soon. The Hokies' insurgence into North Carolina should help draw his attention, and they'll be in the mix here.
