McLendon admits he grew up an Alabama fan, so overcoming the Tide (when they've already offered) is going to be a tough ask. However, the Hokies are working hard to make an impact in the Atlanta area, and with offers out to several others in the True 19 training group, there's a pretty good chance he at least makes it for a summer visit. It remains to be seen what will develop from that, but the coaching staff should get at least one chance to impress.
