Virginia Tech has offered Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph's 2019 defensive lineman Howard Cross III. Here's a quick look at him.

Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Tennessee

Cross stays very quiet on the recruiting trail, so it's tough to get a read on if he's leaning anywhere, or where that would be if so. VT is hardly in the door first here, with some other national programs already in the mix, but an offer explosion is likely to come, and so they've at the very least beaten that. We'll see if VT manages to get him on a visit to campus this Fall, which would be a great piece toward keeping his attention long-term.
