New Virginia Tech basketball offer: Akok Akok

Virginia Tech has offered Putnam (Conn.) Science Academy 2019 power forward Akok Akok. Here's a quick look at the player.

Louisville, Massachusetts, NC State, Providence

Akok is blowing up in the early stages of the AAU season, with most of his offers coming in the past week. The Hokies are included there, and they have a couple nice connections. He plays for the Mass Rivals AAU program that will send point guard Wabissa Bede to Blacksburg in the 2017 class, and features a number of players offered by VT in the 2017-19 classes. It's highly likely Akok makes his first visit to Blacksburg this offseason, which should only begin to build a strong relationship.
