New Virginia Tech basketball offer: AJ Hoggard

Virginia Tech has offered Huntington (W.Va.) Prep 2020 shooting guard AJ Hoggard. Here's a quick look at him.

New Mexico, Providence, Rutgers, Wake Forest

VT has yet to reel in its first Class of 2019 commitment, but is already showing some love to the junior class. The Hokies are the closest-to-home program to offer Hoggard yet, and arguably the most notable to do so, as well. He's a good fit for the VT system, and the coaching staff will sell him on that. He's still relatively early in the process, so getting into the door at this point is a good move for the Rivals100 player. Look for a visit at some point this season, which could really begin to kick things to the next level.
