Virginia Tech took a major step in the recruitment of Baltimore Gilman 2021 defensive end Mattheus Carroll back in January with an offer.

The 6-5, 220-pound three-star took the next major step in his relationship with the Hokies just over a week ago, with a visit to Blacksburg.
