Hokies a finalist for Lindell Wigginton

Buzz Williams and his assistants have cast a wide net in recruiting the 2017 class, and the time of year is approaching when hoops targets approach their college decisions. That's the case for Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill Academy point guard Lindell Wigginton, who recently named his top seven schools.

Arizona State, Baylor, Iowa State, Louisville, Oregon, and Texas join the Hokies on Wigginton's narrowed list. He plans to announce his college decision during the early signing period in November.

The 6-1, 185-pounder is a four-star considered the No. 36 overall prospect nationally in the Class of 2017.

VT currently holds just one 2017 commitment, Chattanooga (Tenn.) Hamilton Heights Christian shooting guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker. The Hokies will likely add a point guard (such as Wigginton) and at least one bigman to the class.
