The Hokies continue to receive good news from top basketball targets trimming their lists. This time, it's Baltimore Mount St. Joseph 2017 shooting guard Darryl Morsell who keeps the Hokies in his top five.

Dayton, Maryland, Notre Dame, and Villanova are the other remaining finalists for the 6-3, 180-pounder. He is a three-star unranked at his position or nationally.

With a shooting guard already in the fold in the form of Nickeil Alexander-Walker, the greater need for the Hokies may be at the point guard and big-man positions. However, the VT coaches plan an in-home visit in early September.
