Well before his recruitment soared, Bethel (Va.) four-star defensive tackle
After a stellar junior season, impressive performances at spring and summer camps and at times a dominating force during his senior season, Walker is now among the top rated players in the country, at No. 216 in the Rivals250, the No. 19 defensive tackle and No. 8 player in Virginia.
And after a weekend official visit, Walker has a new home for his talents. This morning, while still on his official visit to Virginia Tech, Walker gave his pledge to the Hokies. He announced the decision via Twitter:

I am officially committed to VIRGINIA TECH !
Walker becomes the jewel of Virginia Tech's class so far for 2014, which now has 21 commitments. Walker's pledge also boosts the Hokies to No. 19 in Rivals.com's team rankings for the class of 2014.
Before giving his commitment, Walker also strongly considered Nebraska, Penn State and Pittsburgh. He officially visited the Corn Huskers Sept. 13 for their game against UCLA.
