Walker Culver is a Hokie

Virginia Tech has its third commitment of the weekend: Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor School offensive lineman Walker Culver.

The 6-6, 280-pound Culver is a mid-level three-star, the No. 64 offensive tackle nationally and the No. 22 overall prospect in Tennessee. He is commitment No. 26 for the Hokies.

Culver was a longtime Colorado commit who stepped back from his pledge to the Buffaloes a few weeks back. Virginia Tech - which offered not long after he originally picked CU - immediately became one of the top options. He took his official visit this weekend, and that was enough to show him he wants to be a Hokie.

Among his other top options were Auburn, Ohio State, and Vanderbilt.

Culver is the fourth offensive lineman in the class, joining fellow three-stars John Harris and Luke Tenuta, as well as unranked Christian Darrisaw (who signed as a three-star last year and spent this Fall as a post-grad player at Fork Union Military School).
