In voting for the championship game result, 60 votes were cast for Florida State over Virginia Tech. The Hokies picked up 12 votes to defeat the Seminoles, while Florida State picked up four votes to defeat Georgia Tech.
Three votes apiece were cast for Virginia Tech over Clemson and Clemson over Georgia Tech.
