VT loses Malik Willis commitment

After months committed to become a Hokie, Roswell (Ga.) 2017 athlete Malik Willis has decided to take a step back:

The 6-2, 185-pounder played quarterback for his high school team, but was expected to be a safety in Blacksburg. Georgia had increased its pursuit in recent months after initially passing on Willis, and the Bulldogs are likely the team to beat.

Air Force, Navy, and Tulane were among the programs also pursuing the three-star when he committed to VT. THe Hokies are still in the mix, but will have their work cut out to re-secure his pledge.
