Tommy Winton still in touch with the Hokies
The Virginia Tech coaching staff has tried to improve its recruiting footprint in recent years, and one area that has seen some success is Tennessee. The Volunteer State has sent several players to Blacksburg in recent years, including three in the 2021 class alone.
Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic wide receiver Tommy Winton has a chance to be a 2022 representative in that regard. The 5-10, 185-pounder received a very early offer from the Hokies, and continues to hear from the staff.
