For the 2016 class, Virginia Tech has gotten a few key additions. But late this afternoon, the Hokies might have gotten their most important addition for the class to this point.
While on an unofficial visit to Virginia Tech this weekend, three-star offensive lineman Thomas Jarrett Hopple ended his recruitment by making his commitment. He becomes the Hokies' ninth commitment of the class. As reported by HokieHaven.com, over the past few weeks, Hopple had been viewed as one of Virginia Tech's top three offensive line targets for the class.
At 6'6" and 270 pounds, Hopple is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 34 player in Virginia. He's Virginia Tech's first offensive line commitment of the class and the fifth in-state. Other Virginians in the class are three-star safety Reggie Floyd, three-star athlete Jovonn Quillen, athlete Victor Greene and defensive tackle Clay Dean.
Hopple was recruited by assistant coaches Bryan Stinespring and Stacy Searels.
Check back with HokieHaven.com for complete coverage on Hopple's decision and what it means for Virginia Tech.
