Has your size changed at all?
I've gained about 15 more pounds. That puts me at about 6'4" and 255 pounds.
What does your workout routine entail?
A normal day is like, bench, squat, push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups. It's a lot of arm work and explosive plyometrics. Then, I do agility and sprints.
When do you plan on reporting to Virginia Tech?
I'm heading down (today).
What do you plan on working or improving on through this summer?
The main thing is just my footwork and my speed.
How would you describe your playing style?
I'm aggressive and I always go one hundred percent to the whistle.
What are some of your goals for your freshman season at Virginia Tech?
I just wanna get in the mix of things and be able to play a little bit. We'll see how it goes from there. I need to get a 3.0 (GPA) at least, so I can try to get into engineering.
What player or team are you most looking forward to going up against?
William & Mary, because my boy, DeAndre Houston-Carson, the running back from my freshman year, he's playing down there. It'll be nice to go up against him.
What's your favorite food?
teak. I like ketchup on it, though.
What is your favorite movie?
Any of the "Rocky" movies, 1-6. The sixth one, with the kid, was kinda weird but I like them all.
What is your favorite TV show?
"The Big Bang Theory."
What's the one song you're getting amped up to before a game?
"Enter Sandman." (laughing), I guess I'd listen to it before I'm on the field and after.
What would be three words to describe you?
Aggressive, smart and tough.
If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?
Jennifer Lawrence.
If you could go toe to toe in the ring with anybody, who would it be?
Rey Mysterio, just 'cause. He's little, but he did alright with The Undertaker.
What's been your most memorable experience playing football?
Just going through everything with my buddy, Steve Sobczak, going through the whole process, especially when I found out he's coming with me. Whenever we found out he was coming in August, he told me, 'If they tell me I can come in August, then I'm gonna commit right now.' Bud emailed me and told me and I told (Steve). That was a pretty cool moment for the both of us, when I found out we were both going to the same place.
