Has your size changed at all?
I'm 6'4" now and about 225.
What does your workout routine entail?
Certain days, I do weight room workouts, work on upper body, lower body, chest, Then, I go out to the field, run a couple of drills, run a couple of hills. If I'm not doing that type of workout, I have a trainer and I work out with him. But I haven't been with him in a while because I've been running track. So I've just been trying to work on my own, weight room and on the field. Track ends next week with state.
When do you plan on reporting to Virginia Tech?
I know I'll be there the first week in July, on the fifth, I think.
What do you plan on working or improving on through this summer?
I still need to get stronger, be a student of the game. When i get there, i need to go straight to the classroom and learn the scheme a little more, because I'll probably be clueless.
How would you describe your playing style?
I use the word, 'go-getter,' which means I'm just gonna go get who has the ball, pretty much. I'm a physical player, aggressive player, a long player.
What are some of your goals for your freshman season at Virginia Tech?
One of the biggest goals is to play my freshman year. That kinda all-around sums it up right there. I just wanna get on the field and play. So far, they've said they're gonna keep me at linebacker.
What player or team are you most looking forward to going up against?
It definitely has to be Ohio State. I believe that's definitely gonna be an exciting game, so why not look forward to that game.
What's your favorite food?
Oh it has to be fried chicken. Definitely fried chicken. if you're asking me from a place, it has to be Golden Skillet (in Danville). They have some of the best fried chicken.
What is your favorite movie?
"Friday Night Lights."
What is your favorite TV show?
"Martin."
What's the one song you're getting hyped up to before a game?
I'm trying to think, because I usually just put my phone on a play list and let it play. That's a tough one. Can I just pick the person to sing the song? I'd probably say, Yo Gotti.
What would be three words to describe you?
Leader, athletic and intelligent.
If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?
Christina Milian.
If you could go toe to toe in the ring with anybody, who would it be?
That's a tough one. I'm not even sure. I'm leaning towards taking my brothers. I'll take 'em both...I'll take 'em one at a time (laughing).
What's been your most memorable experience playing football?
When I first started standing out a little bit, the first game of the season, I got a big hit. The guy fumbled the ball and I remember that like it was yesterday.
What's the one thing you learned from your recruitment that you would pass on as advice to a future recruit?
Stay humble. Sometimes, guys let things happen when they want things to happen, instead of just letting them happen. Just stay humble throughout the whole recruiting process.
