Has your size changed at all?
I've gotten a little bit taller. I haven't broken 6'4" yet but I'm almost there. Then, my weight, I'm probably around 275 or 280 now.
What does your workout routine entail?
I'm using Virginia Tech's whole summer workout plan from last summer. It's like front squats, squats, bench and all that basic stuff.
When do you plan on reporting to Virginia Tech?
It'll be the second summer semester. I think it's July 7 or something like that.
What do you plan on working or improving on through this summer?
I wanna work on my footwork, pass sets and that stuff and my strength is also what I need to work on. That's my two main focal points for improvement.
How would you describe your playing style?
I'd say I'm a versatile lineman. I can play every position on the line. I think I'm aggressive and I'm good at run-blocking too. That's one of my strongpoints in the game.
What are some of your goals for your freshman season at Virginia Tech?
I'm probably gonna get redshirted, so I just wanna get better, get around the program more, understand the playbook and become a stronger, better player all around.
What player or team are you most looking forward to going up against?
I'd have to say Alabama. That's gonna be fun. It's in the Georgia Dome and they just own a national championship. It's gonna be a lot of people, so it's gonna be exciting.
What's your favorite food?
That's tough, but it'd have to be pizza. I really like pizza with pepperoni. It's delicious.
What is your favorite movie?
"Batman" the newest one. "The Dark Knight Rises" or something like that.
What is your favorite TV show?
"How I Met Your Mother."
What's the one song you're getting amped up to before a game?
I'd say "Us" remix by Rick Ross and there's a bunch of other people.
What would be three words to describe you?
Hmm, that's tough. I guess athletic, fun and confident.
If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?
Blake Lively.
If you could go toe to toe in the ring with anybody, who would it be?
Anybody? I'd have to say Tony Romo, because I don't like him, whatsoever. If I get a couple of shots on him, I'd be pretty happy.
What's been your most memorable experience playing football?
I'd have to say when we beat Bartram Trail High School in the last few seconds of the game, on the last play of the game too. It was just a pass with two seconds left. We got the ball with a minute left and drove down the field from our 20. So we had an 80-yard drive to win the game and that was the first time we'd beat them.
