Has your size changed at all?
I'm up to 255 right now, but I'm trying to cut down to 245. Since my ACL injury, I can't get much cardio in. Now, I'm quick to run, so I'm back to running and I've lost like five pounds.
What does your workout routine entail?
I do a lot of burnouts because you get the best results. I do a lot of upper-body stuff and just make sure I cover all my muscles, like my back and my chest. It's a lot of core stuff, so I can prevent a lot of injuries.
When do you plan on reporting to Virginia Tech?
I'll be there July 2.
What do you plan on working or improving on through this summer?
My main focus is just gonna be getting back my speed. I'm running on the treadmill, increasing my speed every day I do it.
How would you describe your playing style?
I would say I'm a finesse player, but I like to switch up my game. I use power moves and finesse. I just try to mess with the offensive lineman's head and be unpredictable.
What are some of your goals for your freshman season at Virginia Tech?
I just want to stay active in the weight room, improve in every practice, maintain my grades. I wanna focus on majoring in business and keep up my grades for that. I just want to be all toned and be all muscle when I get there.
What's your favorite food?
Fajitas.
What is your favorite movie?
300. Well, 300 and Friday Night Lights.
Who is your favorite musician?
Kid Cudi.
What would be three words to describe you?
Smart, humble and relaxed.
If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?
Rihanna.
If you could pick a fight with any celebrity, who would it be?
Justin Bieber. I just don't like him. he's like an old grandma. I don't know, he's weird.
What's been your most memorable experience playing football?
My freshman year of high school, I got up to varsity in my first game. In about the third quarter, one of my defensive linemen sacked the quarterback and forced a fumble on our 30. I scooped it back and returned it 70 yards for a touchdown. That's when I knew football was my calling.
