Has your size changed at all?
Nah, that's right. I'm still the same size.
What does your workout routine entail?
Ahh man, well I work out five days a week. It's speed, agility and the weight room. I do weights four days a week and I speed train five days a week. There's a lot that goes into it. Five weeks straight we've trained and then on the sixth week, we drop down all the stuff that I've done to see if I'm increasing or decreasing as time has gone on. I just have to keep training hard.
When do you plan on reporting to Virginia Tech?
Right now, I've been talking to Coach Newsome and he's getting me into an all-star game. Since I'm playing in that, it'll be somewhere around July 1.
What do you plan on working or improving on through this summer?
I just wanna be bigger, faster, stronger and quicker and more educated.
How would you describe your playing style?
My playing style is really just to go out there and have fun. As far as playing the game, I'm a team player so I put the team first. But at any given time, I feel like I can put the team on my back. That's how I've been all my life. I just go out there and play football.
What are some of your goals for your freshman season at Virginia Tech?
I just wanna get on the field. That's the main goal. As time comes on, I become that leader of the team and hopefully we'll go to a championship.
What player or team are you most looking forward to going up against?
It's just gonna be a great experience. Players, I'd have to say Kameron Mack from UVA. He's from my home city, so it'd be going up against him.
What's your favorite food?
Chicken and candy yams.
What is your favorite movie?
Friday Night Lights.
What is your favorite TV show?
There's a lot of TV shows out there. I'm not even sure.
What's the one song you're getting amped up to before a game?
Feel It In The Air, by Bennie Sigel.
What would be three words to describe you?
Up And Coming.
If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?
Lauren London.
If you could go toe to toe in the ring with anybody, who would it be?
Mike Tyson, just cuz. He's Iron Mike. He's a tough dude!
What's been your most memorable experience playing football?
I'd probably say breaking a helmet. Last year, we played at Booker T. Washington. I was at safety and I saw the hit coming. As soon as the quarterback threw it, as soon as the ball hit the receiver's hands I hit him and his helmet broke. I think he even had a concussion.
