Has your size changed at all?
I've gained five pounds, so I'm up to 225 now.
What does your workout routine entail?
Just basically upper-body and lowe-body, a lot of Olympic lifts like cleans, high-pulls and snatches and jerks. I do squats and lower-body stuff, just basically the workout they sent me and the book after signing day.
When do you plan on reporting to Virginia Tech?
I'll be there on Friday. I report then.
What do you plan on working or improving on through this summer?
Probably just route running, just being more aggressive. Some of the goals I have going into fall camp are just getting ahead of the gameplan, learning the playbook and getting acclimated with college football. I know it's a faster pace and it's a different level from high school.
How would you describe your playing style?
I'm just versatile. I can bring different things to the offense, I can move around, down with my hand in the ground or flex out as a receiver with just my size and speed. Mainly, I can create mismatches in the game.
What are some goals you've set for your freshman year?
Learn the playbook as fast as I can, get some playing time, at least put on 10-15 more pounds and basically, just help the team win.
What player or team are you most looking forward to going up against?
A player is probably Braxton Miller. So the team is Ohio State, just because they're the champs and it's a rematch from last year;s game. I know they wanna come to Blacksburg and win against us because we beat them at their home. It's gonna be a good game.
What's your favorite food?
It would probably be Mexican food.
What is your favorite movie?
"Project X.'
What is your favorite TV show?
Probably Nick Cannon's 'Wild 'n Out.'
What's the one song you're getting hyped up to before a game?
It'd have to be Meek Mill, 'Dreams and Nightmares Intro.'
What would be three words to describe you?
Outgoing, funny and I guess, passionate.
If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?
It would have to be Zendaya. She was on Disney Channel's 'Shake It Up.'
If you could go toe to toe in the ring with anybody, who would it be?
Floyd Mayweather. I want the champ. Or Rhonda Rousey.
What's been your most memorable experience playing football?
I guess just football as a whole. Going out and mainly high school, being with the same guys for four years, having fun and seeing each other grow from freshmen, learning in games and stuff like that.
What's the one thing you learned from your recruitment that you would pass on as advice to a future recruit?
I've learned that the recruiting process is a business and recruiters try to sell you the nice stuff. There's not a lot of coaches and recruiters who are gonna be straight-forward and give you 100 percent what they're gonna do with you when you get to the school. They try to sell you the glamour and they might switch it by the time you get there. They aren't 100 with you. It's a business, so you have to watch out, pay attention to all the details of each school that's offered.
