Has your size changed at all?
I'm 5'11" actually. People keep saying I'm 5'9" and I'm like, 'Naw, I'm 5'11"' I was wondering why everybody kept saying I'm so short. I was reading the things online and like 5'9"? I'm not that short. I'm pushing 170, too.
What does your workout routine entail?
I run, lift weights, work on my technique skills. Of course, I drink healthy stuff and eat healthy things. Basically, it's just everything to keep my body in shape. I also use this little book I got from Virginia Tech and some daily workout things they do up there. I use that as part of my workout plan too.
When do you plan on reporting to Virginia Tech?
When I graduate in the summer, so like June or something like that.
What do you plan on working or improving on through this summer?
I need to move the hips a little bit more, be a little more fluid with the hips. I'm working on the little shuffle because I talked to Coach Gray and he said they don't do backpedaling. So I asked, 'What do you do?' He said they use shuffle, then glide so I have to work on my shuffle and glide.
How would you describe your playing style?
I should be at corner, but I'll be happy wherever they put me. It doesn't matter. I'd describe myself as just hungry and eager, a ballhawk basically. I've gotta have the ball in my hands.
What are some of your goals for your freshman season at Virginia Tech?
I wanna get noticed for one, be involved with the team and let everyone know who I am. I just wanna make friends, learn new things and most of all, get my work done in school. I wanna let them know I'm willing to work on my schoolbooks first. I am a student-athlete, so class comes first. Basically, it's just letting everyone know I'm here and get involved in the whole system.
What player or team are you most looking forward to going up against?
Anybody. I don't point out people, I just wanna go out there and compete. Whoever steps in front of me, I really don't mind. At the end of the day, we're battling for position, so anybody.
What's your favorite food?
Pizza. I love pizza with pepperoni, nothing else. I went to one pizza place in Blacksburg already, but I've gotta try more out there.
What is your favorite movie?
"21 Jump Street." It's so hilarious (laughs).
What is your favorite TV show?
"Martin." It still comes on every night.
What's the one song you're getting amped up to before a game?
Oh, Chief Keef. All I listen to is Chief Keef.
What would be three words to describe you?
Funny, confident and hungry.
If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?
Rihanna (laughs). Rihanna, man. She's all that.
If you could go toe to toe in the ring with anybody, who would it be?
And lose or win? I've gotta take on Manny Pacquiao. Just cuz he's a boxer.
What's been your most memorable experience playing football?
Coming out with your team, as we lead on and go to victory, there's nothing better than going out with your brothers, having a good time playing. That was one of my favorite moments, just all of us coming out and getting pumped up for the game. Everybody's excited. That and scoring touchdowns, of course.
