Has your size changed at all?
I think my weight is around 295 and I'm pretty sure I'm 6'5" but I'm not sure.
What does your workout routine entail?
I haven't been able to work out since I had my surgery, but when i do, I usually do a bench squat, power clean workout and some foot drills. I also work at athletic republic and work on my flexibility, my foot speed and my speed.
When do you plan on reporting to Virginia Tech?
In July, the fourth I think.
What do you plan on working or improving on through this summer?
I definitely wanna keep getting stronger. That's probably the biggest thing for me and keep working on my speed. I wanna get the new offense down, too.
How would you describe your playing style?
I'd say I play with really good technique and also really physical. I go until the whistle.
What are some of your goals for your freshman season at Virginia Tech?
I wanna keep getting stronger, learn the offense and show the coaches what I can do my first year. Hopefully, that'll set me up for my next year.
What player or team are you most looking forward to going up against?
I'd say Alabama, freshman year. I wanna see how we match up against them next year. It's crazy to play them next year.
What's your favorite food?
Japanese food, like rice, chicken, shrimp and yum-yum sauce. I like hibachi and that kind of stuff.
What is your favorite movie?
I'd have to say "Dumb and Dumber." I used to have it memorized and I probably still do, actually. "Tommy Boy," that's my other movie. That's a great movie.
What is your favorite TV show?
I have two favorite TV shows: "The Walking Dead" and "The Office." It kinda starting not being as good though when Michael Scott left.
What's the one song you're getting amped up to before a game?
I'm not a huge rap fan, but the song that gets me the most pumped up is that sing by Eminem that was in "8 Mile," "Lose Yourself."
What would be three words to describe you?
That's a tough one. I'd say intense, dedicated and hard-working.
If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?
Scarlet Johansson.
If you could go toe to toe in the ring with anybody, who would it be?
Like celebrity? It'd probably be my dad. We'd put the gloves on and see what he's made of (laughs).
What's been your most memorable experience playing football?
In one of our biggest games of the year, against Fork Union, there was one play that I drove my guy through the goalsposts. It was when we beat them in the regular season.
