Has your size changed at all?
I'm up to 220 pounds now.
What does your workout routine entail?
I try to switch it up. Sometimes I do cardio stuff one day and then the next day, work in the weight room. I do upper body and the next day I'll do lower body. I try to switch it up for muscle confusion and try to stay in the best shape I can.
When do you plan on reporting to Virginia Tech?
I'm not sure, but I think it's the last week of June, so I can start school in July.
What do you plan on working or improving on through this summer?
Probably getting lot stronger, getting exposed to bigger linemen. Also, I need to do more with my footwork. I just got my workout book from Tech, so I guess I'll start on the program they sent. My footwork, work on my coverage and try to get bigger and faster.
How would you describe your playing style?
I just give 100 percent every play and play hard until the whistle blows. I play fast and play physical.
What are some of your goals for your freshman season at Virginia Tech?
I don't really wanna redshirt. I wanna get in there and start playing and that's one of my major goals. Another goal, in academics, I wanna maintain at least a 3.0.
What player or team are you most looking forward to going up against?
If I wasn't redshirting, I'd be ready for the UVA game. There's a lot of 757 guys over there and I've been playing against them for a while now. I think it'd be a good game.
What's your favorite food?
I don't have a favorite food. I eat everything, for real. Basically, it's all the junk food though, like candy and all that. I'll probably have to cut down, but it'll be hard.
What is your favorite movie?
Dang. I'd probably have to say "The Lion King."
What is your favorite TV show?
"Pretty Little Liars" or "Walking Dead," one of them.
What's the one song you're getting amped up to before a game?
Hmm, I don't know, I have a long of songs. Last year, my junior year, I used to listen to "Be Without You" by Mary J Blige right before the game. That was my game song.
What would be three words to describe you?
Kind, humble and strong. Not only physically strong but strong-willed and everything.
If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?
Probably J-Lo (Jennifer Lopez).
If you could go toe to toe in the ring with anybody, who would it be?
I want Floyd, Floyd "Money" Mayeather. he's a little too cocky for me. I don't like that.
What's been your most memorable experience playing football?
Playing for the Eastern Region championship, last year, my junior year. Just the way we came back. We came back from down 35-7 at halftime and we lost 35-34 at the one-yard line, going for two. Oscar Smith ended up going on the next two rounds and winning state. They were beating all the other teams by 20 or 30. It hurt a lot.
