A perfect week on the trail for the Hokies is not to be. Chester (Va.) Life Christian Academy cornerback Antonio Cotman has picked Boston College.

Virginia Tech was the runner up, and the 6-2, 180-pounder also included Arizona State, Maryland, and Ole Miss among his finalists.
The Hokies were among the first to offer (only the Terps were through the door first), and hosted Cotman frequently under both the Justin Fuente regime and with Brent Pry in charge. Even a strong push into the Richmond area, with commitments from his close friend, Takye Heath, and VT legacy Braylon Johnson (both of Highland Springs High School) weren't enough to overcome longstanding ties back to the area from BC assistant coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim.
