The impact: Coaching shifts in Blacksburg
The Virginia Tech athletic department announced today that the new defensive coordinator is an internal hire: safeties coach Justin Hamilton will replace his mentor, Bud Foster. The Hokies also announced a pair of other coaching changes, with running backs coach Zohn Burden and cornerbacks coach Brian Mitchell moving on to other opportunities.
That shakeup could have a lot of ripple effects for the program moving forward.
