Signing Day capsule: Lecitus Smith

This is a tight end-heavy class for Virginia Tech, and the third player at that position to send in his letter of intent has done so. Fitzgerald (Ga.) three-star Lecitus Smith is officially a Hokie.

Arkansas, NC State, Oklahoma State, South Florida (eight total)

Smith's recruitment was a relatively simple one: as soon as he got his offer from the Hokies, he prioritized making a trip to Blacksburg to check out what Virginia Tech was all about. He waited a couple months to wait things out and think through his list, but knew he wanted to be a Hokie.

Smith had five receptions for 100 yards (20.0 per grab) and a pair of touchdowns while contributing mostly as a blocker for a state runner-up.
