It didn't take long for Camden Catholic (NJ) three-star athlete Tyree Rodgers to warm up to Virginia Tech.

Rodgers, who has been committed to Old Dominion since July, was offered by the Hokies on Wednesday. Within hours, he was on a plane to Blacksburg for an official visit.

On Wednesday morning, he made the flip to Virginia Tech, in an announcement at his school.

Rodgers also visited Rutgers officially this past weekend. But on Sunday night, he gave a silent verbal commitment to the Hokies and assistant coach Torrian Gray.

Rivals.com ranks Rodgers as the No. 21 player in New Jersey for the class. He joins IMG Academy (Fla.) four-star Khalil Ladler and Stonewall Jackson (Va.) three-star Reggie Floyd in Virginia Tech's 2016 secondary class.

Check back with HokieHaven.com for more coverage on Rodgers' decision and what it means for the Hokies.
