Robinson to visit Tech for UVA game

Rock Hill (S.C.) Northwestern cornerback Jamie Robinson has led his team to an 11-0 regular season record and a high seed going into the state playoffs starting this weekend. On the year, Robinson has posted nine interceptions, twenty pass break-ups and forty tackles. Where do the Hokies stand with the four-star defensive back?

“Virginia Tech is definitely in my top four right now,” explained the 6-foot-2, 185-pound speedster. “They’re getting pretty close to offering. Coach Pearman is recruiting me for Virginia Tech and I plan to take an unofficial visit up there when they host Virginia.”

Robinson currently holds offers from Florida State, Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, and North Carolina State. He currently favors the Hokies along with Florida State, Clemson, and Tennessee.

Robinson has taken unofficial visits to two of his other three favorite schools, Florida State and Clemson as well as a visit to South Carolina.

“I got to see Florida State play Virginia, Clemson play North Carolina State, and South Carolina host Troy,” admitted Robinson. “The trips to Florida State and Clemson I was most impressed with. That’s one of the reasons I’ve got those two schools in my top four.”

Robinson has tentative plans to take official visits to Florida State, Virginia Tech, Clemson, and Tennessee. He went on to add that he has yet to set any dates for those trips, but that they will probably fall sometime in December or January.

A decision is expected from Robinson on national signing day.
