IN HIS OWN WORDS...

"There are a few things I’m really considering," Wilson said. "The depth chart is a big thing. I don’t want to sit on the bench until my junior year. Relationships with the coaches are important and so is where my heart is leading me, where I feel at home."

Clemson- "That new facility is as big as my high school," he said. "Facilities are nice but it’s not a big factor in my recruitment. It’s nice to have but you don’t really need all that. They did just win the National Championship so that’s big for me."

North Carolina- "I like everything about North Carolina," said Wilson. "I like coach JP a lot. He’s one of my favorite coaches and we have a really good relationship. Coach Ekeler is new there but I really like him. I have a really good relationship with some of the guys over there and I just feel like UNC has a lot of potential over the upcoming years. Jonah Melton, Jake Lawler, and Mike Carter are all recruiting me pretty hard."

Ohio State- "It was really awesome visiting Ohio State and meeting coach Meyer, one of the most famous coaches ever," he said. "He’s a great humble and Christian guy. I really like him. All the schools in my top four have really nice facilities but the intensity of Ohio State’s practices I really liked."

Virginia Tech- "Coach Bud Foster comes down this way a lot and one of his good friends is close with my family," Wilson said. "He’s one of the best defensive coordinators in the nation. He’s been there for 30-years or so and coach Fuente has a lot of energy. He wants to stay at Virginia Tech and that’s really good for me."

RIVALS' REACTION

Wilson is a dynamic prospect that can be used in a variety of ways. He has the speed and size to be an outstanding outside linebacker but is strong and physical enough to put his hand int he ground and rush the passer. All four teams would love to land Wilson's commitment and mold him into a star but it will be hard for the other three teams to pull Wilson away from the Tar Heels. He has the best relationships and can get on the field the fastest in Chapel Hill. It would be surprising if Wilson doesn't take more visits after his commitment so recruitment won't necessarily be over.
