Quinn Carroll names final six

Virginia Tech remains in the hunt for one of the top Class of 2019 offensive linemen in the country. Edina (Minn.) four-star Quinn Carroll has the Hokies under consideration.

The 6-6, 280-pounder is also keeping Minnesota, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, and Wisconsin in the hunt. The Orange and Maroon may seem like a geographic outlier, but there's a connection: older brother Collin was a long-snapper for VT in the late 2000s.

The No. 33 overall prospect and No. 6 offensive tackle in the nation, Carroll has visited Blacksburg twice since picking up his offer from Justin Fuente's coaching staff, and had been to town several times before his own recruiting process back when his brother was playing for VT.

Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Oregon, and Tennessee are just a few of the many programs who had offered Carroll a scholarship but are no longer in the hunt for his signature.
