Parks visited over the weekend with close friend and 2019 Virginia Tech commit Bryan Hudson. Their friendship (and the convenience of tagging along on Hudson's trips to Blacksburg) is immediately a major boost for VT and should make the Hokies a contender here. It's still relatively early in the process, but Parks has a number of high-major offers, so it's no guarantee that the Hokies will be able to snag him, to say the least. At this point, they're in strong position with multiple past trips to campus out of the young standout, and should maintain that as long as they keep up the pressure.
