Johnson is the son of former West Virginia tight end Tory Johnson, and the younger brother of Tory Johnson Jr. (who has committed to the Mountaineers already). The Hokies become just the second program to offer though, hopping into the mix just a couple weeks after Marshall broke the Division I seal for him. Johnson visited Morgantown Saturday, the a day after the Hokies dropped by his school and ultimately offered. Getting him to town before WVU offers would be smart, but family history indicates the Neers may be tough to beat if and when they jump into the fray.
