Davis is currently committed to Duke, and when the task is getting a player to flip commitments, rather than make an initial pledge, there's always an added degree of difficulty. However, he has some connections to Virginia Tech, including friends (like 2018 signee Dax Hollifield) headed to Blacksburg from the Charlotte area. We shall see if the Hokies manage to convince him to make the switch, but at this early stage, getting him on campus for a visit is step one - and will probably happen this Spring.
