New Virginia Tech football offer: TJ Sheffield

Virginia Tech has offered Thompsons Station (Tenn.) Independence 2019 receiver TJ Sheffield. Here's a quick look at him.

Tennessee (former commit), Penn State, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest

Sheffield was previously committed to Tennessee, but even before his decommitment in the wake of Butch Jones's firing, he was looking around with visits to other schools. He has plenty of time left in the process (he committed to UT initially during his sophomore season), and could visit Blacksburg. That won't likely happen until a winter Junior Day at the earliest, however.
