New Virginia Tech football offer: Taiyon Palmer

Virginia Tech has offered Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer 2018 defensive back Taiyon Palmer. Here's a quick look at him.

Duke (committed), Minnesota, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Virginia

Palmer is a longtime commit to Duke (he picked the Blue Devils way back in September), so it's obvious who the team to beat is. The three-star has also said all the right things about sticking to that pledge, despite picking up several more offers in the meantime. The Hokies have to try hard to get him on campus, and sell him on a higher level of football available in Blacksburg than Durham - without as much a step down in academics that he may expect.
