New Virginia Tech football offer: Shyheim Battle

Virginia Tech has offered Rocky Mount (N.C.) 2019 cornerback Shyheim Battle. Here's a quick look at him.

Appalachian State, Boston College, Clemson, Duke, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia

In-state UNC beat Virginia Tech to the offer punch and is the school he grew up rooting for, so the Hokies start a little bit behind from the beginning. Fortunately, the Hokies have been monitoring him for a while (and reached out over social media as soon as possible last Fall), including inviting him to visit during the season, so they're not at square one. VT should be able to get him back in town and continue building bonds going forward, and make a real run for his commitment should they push.
