New Virginia Tech football offer: Rayshad Williams

Virginia Tech has offered Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven 2018 cornerback Rayshad Williams. Here's a quick look at the player.

Arkansas, Memphis, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Vanderbilt

VT is the first school outside of Williams's home territory (whether that's the Volunteer State or areas pretty close to Memphis across the borders into Arkansas and Mississippi), which is always something prospects at least keep in mind, even if it doesn't ultimately affect their final decision. Coming from one of Tennessee's power programs, it's like Williams will have the opportunity to camp at Virginia Tech along with some teammates, an the Memphis connection for the current coaching staff under Justin Fuente should provide some additional boosts.
