New Virginia Tech football offer: Matt Alaimo

Virginia Tech has offered Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph's 2018 tight end Matt Alaimo. Here's a quick look at the player.

Minnesota, NC State, Rutgers, Virginia, Louisville, Pitt, Vanderbilt, West Virginia

Alaimo already has a loose top four of Minnesota, NC State, Rutgers, and Virginia... but that's not exactly a murderer's row of contenders, is it? With the Hokies clearly looking for at least one (and almost certainly two) tight ends in the class, their need could help them get into his good graces and secure a visit. He plans to take some trips this Summer before hopefully making an August decision, so Virginia Tech will have to get him on campus before that in order to be a serious contender.
