New Virginia Tech football offer: Luke Doty

Virginia Tech has offered Myrtle Beach (S.C.) 2020 quarterback Luke Doty. Here's a quick look at the player.

Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, North Carolina, South Carolina

Virginia Tech is the first school without "Carolina" in its name to offer Doty, so there's a bit of an advantage in being the school that broadens the geographic reach of his recruitment. He wanted to visit Blacksburg for a game this Fall, but was unable to make the trip - expect that to change now that he has a Hokie offer in hand. He plans to take his time in he recruiting process (and has a couple years ahead of him to do so), so VT should have plenty of opportunity to sway him going forward.
