Virginia Tech has offered Aliquippa (Pa.) 2018 safety Kwantel Raines. Here's a quick look at the player.

Pittsburgh has a lot going in its favor here. Raines is right in the Panthers' backyard, allowing him to visit on several past occasions, they improved last seas under new coach Pat Narduzzi, and with Narduzzi at the helm, they should develop into a defensive juggernaut in due time. Still, Raines plans to be very thorough in the recruiting process, taking unofficial visits to all the schools that have offered before narrowing things down. A good defensive effort from VT this season should help the Hokies remain in the mix.
