The latest

While the Hokies' efforts to become a serious player in the Nashville area haven't paid off with regularity, they continue to put effort into a region that has a lot of familiarity for the staff, given the connections to Vanderbilt. Harmon is a member of the same training group as VT's major win in Music City - freshman wide receiver Chance Fitzgerald - and that added relationship should allow them to have a foothold in his recruitment. Winning on the field will be important for a guy who has Big Ten and SEC offers already, but the Hokies should be able to take advantage.

Game breakdown

Harmon has very good straight-line speed - to the extent that his quarterback (2025 four-star George MacIntyre) will toss him deep shots even when he hasn't gained separation from defensive backs. He has good-enough route-running given his athletic ability, and very good ball skills to pay off his ability to get into good positions on either side of the ball. On defense, he likes to blitz and is a big hitter given his size, which plays into a perceived future at safety, even though he prefers corner at this stage. His versatility is a selling point, and as he polishes his technique at a chosen position, the upside is high.
