New Virginia Tech football offer: Keon Zipp

Virginia Tech has offered Lakeland (Fla.) 2019 tight end Keon Zipperer. Here's a quick look at him.

Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin

Zipperer obviously has one of the biggest offer lists possible at this point in the process, with several College Football Playoff champions and participants in the mix. VT will have to play just a bit of catch-up in that regard. He's also taken a handful of visits - mostly around the Southeast - and the Hokies need to get him on campus to compare to that and get seriously in the mix. It's a bit of an uphill battle, but the current coaching staff has shown and continues to show the desire to compete with the nation's best programs for the top national prospects.
