Virginia Tech has offered Norfolk (Va.) Granby 2021 defensive tackle Katron Evans. Here's a quick look at him.

Virginia Tech is his first. He's also hearing from Hampton and North Carolina.

The Hokies being first in the door is always meaningful for a Tidewater-area prospect. It's important to remember though that this is a kid still in his freshman year of high school. There are going to be many other others, and there's plenty of time to pick through them. Still, VT's early entry should give them a quick leg up in his recruitment.
